Breathing Technique for Recovering from Coronavirus

The coronavirus that causes COVID-19 attacks the lungs and respiratory system, sometimes resulting in significant damage.
Recovering lung function is possible but can require therapy and Breathing exercises for months after the infection is treated.

Here is a breathing technique for recovering COVID-19:

  1. Sit down or Stand up.
  2. Breathe in slowly through your nose for 3 seconds
  3. Hold the breath for 5 seconds.
    Put your lips together as if you’re starting to whistle or blow out candles on a birthday cake. This is known as “pursing” your lips.
  4. Exhale with pursed lips for 6 seconds.

REPEAT 5 TIMES

  1. Now, Breathe in slowly through your nose for 3 seconds.
  2. Exhale with pursed lips for 6 seconds.
  3. Hold the breath for 5 seconds.

REPEAT 5 TIMES

After this, take a small inhale, then exhale and pinch your nose.
With your mouth closed, try to cough 5 times with a pinched nose.
