Strategies to Raise Mental Health Awareness at Work
Mental health is a state of well being we need to all pay more attention to. It can affect us mildly through anger, stress, depression, and anxiety. It can also affect others more intensely like that seen in someone suffering from bipolar disorder, OCD, and personality disorder just to name a few. We also have to consider that people with mental health issues are also more prone to suicide. According to The National Institute of Mental health “Suicide was the tenth leading cause of death overall in the United States, claiming the lives of over 48,000 people. Suicide was the second leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 10 and 34, and the fourth leading cause of death among individuals between the ages of 35and 54”.
